Featuring a fully adjustable torso height and width, and the lightest Re-Fit hip belt yet, the Virga3 55 backpack weighs in at 762 grams, or 535 grams when stripped. Granite Gear manages to achieve such incredibly light weights for the Virga3 series by forgoing frame sheets, stays, or foams in the back panel. Instead, the load itself acts as the pack's suspension. The nylon shell is supported and made rigid by a sleeping pad, which can either be folded up and placed inside or simply rolled and dropped in to push against the back panel. The shoulder harness system takes inspiration from trail running and fast packing with two sternum straps for an even more secure fit (both of which are fully removable). The Virga3 55 also comes with a  fully adjustable padded Re-Fit waist belt.
